Andrew Oliver is used to making an impact on people's lives. As one of MI-6's top agents, he's helped Great Britain and her allies safe for over twenty-years. So, when he meets and falls in love with his friend, Richard Emery's sister, Elizabeth Bennett, he's ready to change his life. Beth, However, is not -- at least, not so much change and so quuickly.
Swept away by Andrew's love and the intense emotions he evokes in her, she agrees to marry him and move to England. While it will be a change, it will mean she's closer to her brother and father. And, she's also decided she's going to woorking too. After all, espionage it the family business.
But, just as they're about to begin their new life, a ghost from Beth's past comes back to haunt her. The trouble is, he's supposed to be dead.

He wants to pursue a relationship with her, but past experiences have made her swear off men and romance. Andrew Oliver doesn't give up easily, and when Beth finally admits to her feelings, she finds herself on an emotional rollercoaster ride -- remembering her past, living her present and facing her future with a self-reliance she'd forgotten she possessed.
